
An embassy of Iraq has opened in Ashgabat. This information was disseminated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
On Monday, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Serdar Mukhammetdurdiyev, met with the Chargé d'Affaires of Iraq in Ashgabat, Jassim Mohammed Al-Attar.
During the meeting, Mukhammetdurdiyev expressed gratitude to the Iraqi side for the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Ashgabat, as stated in the message.
The establishment of the Iraqi diplomatic mission in Ashgabat, according to the ministry, will be an important step in strengthening bilateral relations in areas such as political diplomacy, economy, and culture.
In addition, the possibilities for expanding trade and economic ties between the countries were discussed, including the creation of partnerships between business communities. The prospects for developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation were also noted, including in the fields of science, education, sports, and tourism.
