Cargo transportation between Azerbaijan and Iran was temporarily suspended after an incident that occurred on March 5, when Iranian drones attacked the airport area and the vicinity of a school in the suburb of Nakhchivan, resulting in injuries to four people. President Ilham Aliyev described this attack as a terrorist act. As a result, on the same day, the movement of trucks at the Azerbaijan-Iran border was completely halted. Iranian authorities, for their part, deny any involvement in the drone attack.
