Last night and evening, Kazakhstan welcomed about 1,800 of its citizens returning from the Middle Eastern countries. Air transportation was conducted on 11 flights by the airlines Air Astana, Scat, FlyDubai, and Air Arabia, as reported by the civil aviation committee. Additional flights by both Kazakh and foreign carriers are also scheduled for Sunday, although their number and destinations have not yet been specified.
Since the beginning of March, following the start of attacks by the USA and Israel on Iran, and Iran's retaliatory actions in the form of strikes in the Persian Gulf, 37 flights have been carried out to Kazakhstan, bringing back 6,254 people.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously reported that over 10,000 Kazakhstanis were in the region at the beginning of the new crisis.
