Seismologists recorded strong underground tremors in the Pacific Ocean, in the area of the Kamchatka region. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 235 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of about 40 km. The officially confirmed magnitude ranged from 5.8 to 6.0, according to data from the geophysical service. There were no warnings about a possible tsunami.
