On March 7, Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the first strikes on Iranian oil facilities. An IDF representative noted that at least 30 oil tanks in Tehran were attacked, as reported by The Times of Israel.

The Iranian Ministry of Oil confirmed that three oil storage facilities in Tehran and the city of Karaj were attacked, according to an anonymous source, reports the Iranian news agency Fars. The IRNA agency clarified that two of these storage facilities are located near a large oil refinery in southern Tehran, but the refinery itself was not damaged.

In response to the Israeli strikes, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a missile strike on an oil refinery in Haifa, although Israel has not yet confirmed this information.

At the same time, CNN, citing an unnamed source from Israel, reported that the attacks on the oil storage facilities are part of a new phase of the conflict. "Israel has begun striking oil facilities in Iran as part of the next phase of the war," the source told the channel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on the same day that the bombings of Iran, carried out by the U.S. and Israel, will continue. He also emphasized that the "moment of truth" is near when the Iranians may overthrow their government.

Netanyahu urged Iranian security forces to lay down their arms, assuring that those who do so will not be harmed.
