Wang Yi emphasized that the conflict in the Middle East, triggered by the actions of the United States and Israel against Iran, should not have started, as it brings no benefit to either side. He called for the initiation of negotiations between the states.
“The world should not return to the practice of using force, which does not affirm power and makes innocent people victims of wars,” the minister added.
Furthermore, Wang Yi noted that the peoples of the Middle East are the true masters of their region and oppose interference in their internal affairs. “Regional issues should be resolved by the countries themselves, and attempts to impose 'color revolutions' or regime changes do not find support among the population,” he concluded.
