CNN: China may provide financial assistance to Iran and support its missile program
However, as reported by The Washington Post, China is currently not providing direct assistance to Iran, despite the close relations between the two countries.
Earlier, Reuters reported on negotiations between China and Iran regarding the safe passage of oil tankers and liquefied natural gas vessels from Qatar through the Strait of Hormuz, which is a key route for Chinese oil imports, accounting for about 45%. Beijing is demanding security guarantees from Tehran for shipping.
Additionally, The Washington Post informs that Russia may be passing intelligence information to Iran that could be used for attacks on American military facilities in the Middle East region. The publication indicates that this concerns information about the movements of American ships and aircraft; however, the scale of possible assistance remains uncertain.
