During his speech, Pezeshkian announced that such a decision was made by the temporary governing council of the country. He expressed regret over past incidents, stating: "Yesterday it was decided that further attacks on neighboring states and missile launches will be halted, unless an attack on Iran occurs from their side."

He also added that Iran has no aggressive intentions towards its neighbors.

Furthermore, the president emphasized that Tehran's opponents should not expect its unconditional surrender.

Pezeshkian noted that Iran adheres to the norms of international law and humanitarian principles, which the other side often mentions.
