According to the publication, since February 28, when hostilities began, Moscow has provided Tehran with information about the locations of various American facilities, including military aircraft and ships. This was reported by three different sources.
As The Washington Post emphasizes, such actions may indicate Russia's indirect involvement in the conflict unfolding between the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.
One of the informants noted: "This looks like quite a large operation."
However, the extent of Russia's involvement in missile navigation remains unclear. Sources report that Iran's capabilities for independently detecting targets have significantly decreased since the onset of hostilities.
Previously, Moscow officially called for an end to the conflict, characterizing it as "an unprovoked act of armed aggression."
This week, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth stated that Russia and China do not play a significant role in the situation surrounding Iran, and he has no messages for these countries.
Senior Fellow of the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Carnegie Endowment, Dara Massicot, noted that Iran is carrying out precise strikes on early warning radars and command centers.
She added: "These attacks are very targeted; they affect command centers."
According to the publication, Iran has also conducted attacks on facilities in Kuwait, resulting in the deaths of six American servicemen. Strikes were also carried out against CIA facilities at the U.S. embassy in Riyadh.
Massicot emphasized that Iran has only a few military satellites and does not possess a full satellite constellation. In such conditions, the intelligence data coming from the Russian Aerospace Forces is of particular value to Tehran.
