
Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, in his statement, emphasized the need to prevent such incidents and called for restraint to avoid further deterioration of the situation and possible escalation of tensions in the region.
He also confirmed the full support from the Secretariat of the Turkic Council to the government and people of Azerbaijan.
It was previously reported that the drones were likely launched from Iranian territory and fell on the territory of the airport in Nakhchivan, causing damage to the airport building and injuring several civilians, according to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In response to accusations of launching drones towards Azerbaijan, Iranian authorities rejected these claims. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran expressed the opinion that such incidents could have been planned by Israel to complicate relations between Muslim states.
