An Iranian drone fell at the airport in the Azerbaijani city of Nakhchivan. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador

It is reported that the "Shahed-136" drone struck the airport, according to information from the Ukrainian Telegram channel Supernova+.

The distance from Nakhchivan to the border with Iran is less than 30 kilometers.

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the incident damaged the airport's infrastructure, and two people were injured. Additionally, another Iranian drone fell near a school in the village of Shekerabad. In this regard, the ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador Mojtaba Demirchilu for a discussion.

The Azerbaijani side demands that Iran immediately clarify the circumstances of the incident, provide explanations, and take necessary measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry emphasized that this incident is a violation of international law and could contribute to increased tensions in the region.

Furthermore, Azerbaijan reserves the right to take appropriate retaliatory actions.
