In a recent report, we mentioned that Mongolian servicemen provided protection to over 1400 civilians and assisted in childbirth.

Since February 14, 2026, in response to the escalation of the situation in the region, more than 1000 citizens sought refuge at the base, and on February 27, over 400 more joined them, including many elderly people and children. Mongolian soldiers provided protection to these 1400 civilians.

Among those who came to the camp for help was a pregnant woman preparing to give birth. The camp doctor, Senior Lieutenant Tserenlkhagva Togtbayar, and nurse, Junior Sergeant Uuganbaatar Baatar, demonstrated high professionalism and successfully assisted the mother and child. The name of the newborn boy — Sүbэedэy — was chosen during a discussion: if it was a boy, he would be named Sүbэedэy, and if a girl — Mandukhai.

After the successful delivery, the mother addressed, “Please, Mongolian soldier! Give my son a name!” In response to the woman's request, the boy was named after a Mongolian hero, with them whispering Sүbэedэy in his ear.

The successful delivery was made possible thanks to the efforts of Senior Lieutenant Tserenlkhagva, head of the medical center of the 334th military unit of the Armed Forces, and nurse Uuganbaatar from the 150th military unit.
