
On the night of March 4, flights carrying citizens of Kazakhstan evacuated from the Middle East began arriving at the airports of Kazakhstan, as reported by the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The first Air Astana flight, which departed from Medina, landed in Aktau at 21:28, with 142 passengers on board. Additionally, three other flights arrived in Atyrau from Medina and Jeddah, carrying 145, 174, and 179 people respectively.
Furthermore, the airline Scat is operating a flight from Almaty to Muscat and back on a Boeing 767 aircraft, which has a capacity of 290 seats.
To date, Kazakhstan has already repatriated 946 of its citizens.
On February 28, Israel and the United States conducted attacks on Iranian territory, to which Iran responded: missile strikes were carried out on six countries, including the UAE and Qatar. The Dubai airport and one of the local five-star hotels were hit.
In response to these events, the aviation administration of Kazakhstan imposed a complete ban on flights over the territories of Iran, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon. On March 3, the first aircraft returned to Astana and Almaty from Dubai after the suspension of flights.
