Iran threatened to burn all ships for crossing the Hormuz Strait

Jabbari noted that "currently the price of oil is $81, and the whole world expects it to rise to at least $200. We will not allow ships to pass through the Hormuz Strait, and our military personnel from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Navy, and the army are ready for action." He also added that oil pipelines in the region will be attacked to stop oil exports until pressure is applied to the adversary. "The Americans have debts in the hundreds of thousands of billions of dollars and are thirsty for the oil resources of this region. But they will not get a drop," the general concluded. The Hormuz Strait is the only outlet for Gulf countries for oil supplies. Since the onset of conflicts in the Middle East, Iranian media have reported that ships in the strait area receive warnings from the IRGC about the closure of the maritime corridor. According to Reuters, at least 150 tankers have already dropped anchor in open waters. On March 2, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran does not plan to close the strait.
