The budget amendments are aimed at maintaining the financial stability of the city, as well as implementing key investments and social services. Budget allocations have been revised for projects related to engineering infrastructure, public transport, and pollution control. Among the major initiatives, the funding for which was not completed by the end of 2025, will be those that will continue in the updated budget for 2026. These initiatives pertain to urban infrastructure, transportation systems, urban planning, engineering networks, and decentralization issues.
It is expected that the second line of the "Ulaanbaatar Tram" will run from Sükhbaatar Square to the Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Complex. In the Khan-Uul district, the construction of a new sub-center complex is planned, and work will begin in Songinokhairkhan on laying heating pipelines.
The continuation of these projects is aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving air quality, decentralizing the city, and modernizing engineering infrastructure as part of a comprehensive urban policy.
