The authorities of Thailand have announced the introduction of temporary measures aimed at supporting foreign tourists, reports Kazinform.
According to the provided information, a number of hotels are offering special reduced rates for accommodation, and financial assistance for tourists is also available in the amount of 2,000 baht per day, which is equivalent to approximately 55 US dollars. The maximum amount that one person can receive is 20,000 baht (about 550 dollars).
The Immigration Service of Thailand also reported that foreigners unable to leave the country due to the closure of airspace can extend their visa for 30 days. To do this, they should apply at any immigration office. These support measures will remain in effect until the situation stabilizes.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand informed that due to the worsening situation in the Middle East, many flights have been canceled, including those passing through Dubai. Additionally, some airlines have reduced the frequency of their flights. Temporary restrictions have been introduced at four airports in the country.
