"The Most Serious is Yet to Come." Trump Announces New Strikes on Iran
“We are taking everything from them. Everything is going very well. We have a powerful military, and we are using it,” Trump noted.
He also commented on the timeline of military actions, emphasizing that he does not expect a prolonged conflict. According to him, the operation may take about four weeks, and he believes they are already slightly ahead of schedule.
“I always thought it would take four weeks. We are a little ahead,” the president added.
When asked about possible support for the Iranian population, Trump responded positively, warning that it is not safe to be on the streets at the moment.
“Absolutely. But it’s better to stay indoors right now. It’s unsafe outside,” he said, adding that the situation could worsen.
“We haven’t even started delivering serious strikes. The toughest part is yet to come,” Trump emphasized.
In a previous interview with The New York Times, he noted that the attacks could last from four to five weeks if necessary. In a conversation with the Daily Mail, the president also did not rule out that the operation could end sooner than four weeks.
It should be noted that on February 28, a large-scale military operation by the U.S. and Israel against Iran began. Israeli authorities stated that the main goal of the attacks is to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Earlier, Trump had expressed intentions to destroy the Iranian navy and defense industry, as well as calling for a change of power in the country.
