Inna Rey emphasized that the situation among Kazakhs in the UAE and Qatar is calm. “We have over 3,000 tourists in the UAE and more than 1,000 in Qatar. All of them are accommodated in hotels and provided with necessary services. It is important to emphasize that this is a separate group, distinct from other passengers who are here and need assistance. Our tourists are under the control of the guarantee system and receive support from tour operators,” she noted.
Rey also reported that about 200 citizens of Kazakhstan are in Mecca and Medina, and the sky over Saudi Arabia is currently open, but the further situation remains uncertain. The issue of repatriation flights is not being discussed for now.
“Our airlines are ready to fulfill their obligations, but the current state of the sky poses a danger for flights,” the chairwoman added.
She assured that all tourists with valid tour codes are provided with accommodation and meals thanks to the fund. In response to a question about those Kazakhs who traveled to these countries independently, Rey emphasized that they must rely solely on themselves.
