In light of the current situation, hotels are recommended not to evict tourists but to provide them with the opportunity to extend their stay under the same conditions as in the original booking. If guests do not have the means to pay for the extension, hotels must notify local authorities about this. Recently, ATOR also reported that hotels in Dubai and Sharjah began evicting tourists after their paid stay ended. In contrast, the authorities of Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah have taken responsibility for funding the extension of accommodation for foreign guests.
