Britain, France, and Germany threaten Iran with military response for attacks on allies in the Middle East

The leaders of the three countries emphasized that Iran's actions pose a risk to their military personnel and citizens, urging Tehran to immediately cease its shelling. "We will take measures to protect our interests and those of our allies in the region, including the need to eliminate Iran's capabilities to launch missiles and drones," the official statement said. The countries also coordinated joint actions with the U.S. and other partners. On the same day, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the United States had been granted permission to use British military bases for attacks on Iranian missile facilities. According to him, Iran is becoming increasingly aggressive, threatening the safety of British citizens, which led to this decision. "Britain is acting in the interests of the collective self-defense of its regional allies who have requested assistance," London added. Starmer noted that there are about 200,000 British subjects in the Middle East, and the only way to neutralize the threat is to destroy missile facilities and launch pads in Iran, as reported by The Guardian. Information also surfaced on social media about Iran's attacks on a French military base in the UAE and attempts to attack British troops in Cyprus. On February 28, the U.S. and Israel began a joint military operation against Iran. In response, Iran is carrying out strikes against Israel and American military bases in the Persian Gulf.
