In his letter, Putin noted that Ayatollah Khamenei was an outstanding leader who made a significant contribution to strengthening the ties between Russia and Iran, as well as achieving a level of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Additionally, the President of Russia held a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, during which issues concerning the situation in Iran were discussed.
