According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, air defense systems successfully intercepted missiles aimed at American military facilities in the country, including bases and other infrastructure related to the U.S. armed forces. The agency also noted that no damage has been recorded on UAE territory, and the situation is under control, posing no threat to the civilian population.
Earlier, media and social platforms reported possible strikes on cities in the Emirates, including Dubai; however, these reports remain unconfirmed.
The escalation of the conflict occurred after a series of Israeli airstrikes on Iranian territory. In response, Tehran announced the start of a retaliation operation, reporting missile and drone launches against military targets of adversaries in the region. According to international sources, among the possible targets could be U.S. bases in countries such as Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE.
In response to the threat, several countries in the region temporarily closed their airspace and put air defense forces on heightened alert.
At this time, there is no confirmed information about hits on civilian infrastructure in the UAE. Official representatives claim that the attacks were successfully repelled by air defense systems.
