The president urged the Iranian armed forces to surrender. "To everyone in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the armed forces, and the police: lay down your weapons immediately, you will be guaranteed safety; otherwise, you face death," he declared.
To the citizens of Iran, Trump sent a message that "the hour of freedom is near." "Stay home, the streets are not safe. When it’s all over, you will have a chance to govern your own government. This may be the only chance in generations," he said.
