Earlier in February, in kindergartens in Fergana, where cases of mass poisoning were observed, there was a change in the founder of the company Garden Catering Trade. According to information from the Unified State Register, as of February 25, the new founder is Muijdinjon Abdumuminovich Gofurov, while prior to that, on February 24, this position was held by Ikboljon Habibulloevich Bozorov, whose surname matches the name of the khokim of the Fergana region.
Gofurov also has shares in various companies, such as Grand Super Montaj (construction of residential buildings), Space Travel Rides Park (amusement parks), Modern Builder Development (construction of non-residential buildings), Valley Ceramics Group (ceramics production), and Prime Axis Construction Group (manufacturing of various goods).
Shavkat Minavarovich Turdaliev, the director of the company, is also a founder or co-founder of several other organizations, including Yangiqo’rg’on Fayz Qurilish, Delight Sale, and World Of Electronics And Furniture.
It should be noted that on February 21, 62 children from state kindergartens No. 2, 58, and 61 in the city of Fergana were hospitalized with a diagnosis of "acute diarrhea." They exhibited symptoms of poisoning, such as abdominal pain, high fever, and nausea. Three of them ended up in intensive care, but their condition is stable.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 257−1 of the Criminal Code for violation of sanitary legislation.
"Gazeta" reports that the selection of Garden Catering Trade as a supplier was carried out in violation of public procurement legislation. The Anti-Corruption Agency noted that the agency's warning was ignored, and the company was given advantages in competitive procedures.
Initially, Garden Catering Trade was registered as a joint venture with equal shares held by Ikboljon Bozorov and Yildirim Adem, but later it lost this status, and until February 25, all shares belonged only to Bozorov.
It should be noted that in 2024, the company that received the right to supply food to kindergartens in the Fergana region was established only a month ago. An inspection conducted by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education in July 2024 revealed that the quality of food did not meet sanitary standards, and laboratory control was absent.
The Competition Protection Committee sent a directive to cancel the khokim's decision, but it was not executed.
The Anti-Corruption Agency also established that the company was selected in violation of regulations, but the khokimiyat responded only formally.
Despite all the violations, Garden Catering Trade continued its activities and signed contracts worth over 100 billion soms without tenders.
Additionally, in September 2025, more than 1,000 children from state kindergartens were hospitalized with symptoms of food poisoning in several districts of the Tashkent region. These kindergartens were serviced by three outsourcing companies that purchased products from the Akhkurgan plant Shark Milk Product. The results of that investigation remain unknown to this day.
