Panch, a baby Japanese macaque from the Ichikawa Zoo, became the star of a touching video in which an elderly monkey hugs him. This event sparked a storm of emotions on social media, where viewers are calling it "the cutest video of the day," rejoicing that the little macaque has finally found care and support.

The Journey from Loneliness to Care

Panch was born in July 2025, but his mother rejected him immediately after birth. Zoo staff had to take care of him themselves, and to compensate for the lack of maternal love, they gave him a plush orangutan, which became his loyal companion.

Videos showing Panch playing with the toy and sleeping with it have garnered millions of views, eliciting numerous responses and sympathy from internet users.

For a long time, Panch remained alone, not finding common ground with other monkeys and keeping his distance from them.

The Touching Video Captured the Hearts of Viewers

Recently, the situation changed when a video appeared showing an adult macaque hugging Panch and helping him adapt to the group. In response, the baby also snuggles up to his new "guardian."

Zoo staff note that Panch is gradually finding his place in the troop: other monkeys are showing him friendliness and care.

Panch's story has generated great interest: many zoo visitors come specifically to see him, and on social media, people are delighted that after a long period of loneliness, the baby has found true friends.

Commentators emphasize that the touching hugs have become a symbol of positive change in the little macaque's life and a rare example of a successful conclusion to a story about an abandoned animal.
