On February 24, during his working visit to the Republic of Korea, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Amartuvshin Gombosuren, held meetings with two key figures: Jin Sung-joon, a member of the National Assembly and chairman of the inter-parliamentary friendship group between the two countries, as well as with the Minister of Unification of the Republic of Korea, Chung Dong-young.
During these meetings, important aspects of bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and South Korea were discussed.
The interlocutors emphasized the significance of interaction between the legislative bodies of the two countries to deepen relations. They expressed their intention to maintain regular high-level visits, strengthen friendly ties between the peoples, and develop cooperation in all areas.
Representatives of South Korea noted that Mongolia plays a key role in ensuring security in Northeast Asia and confirmed their readiness to support multilateral negotiation mechanisms in this area.
The parties agreed that to achieve peace and stability in the region, it is necessary to actively use the platform of multilateral negotiations and ensure the participation of all interested parties in the dialogue.
