Will Mongolia ban social networks for children, as Australia and France have done?

This question is currently being actively discussed in the Ministry of Education.

The Minister of Education, Naranbayar Purevsuren, published information on his official website that the ministry intends to develop a draft law that will restrict children's access to social networks, citing the growing body of scientific data on the harm they can cause to young users, reports MiddleAsianNews.

In his statement, the minister mentioned examples of countries such as Australia, France, South Korea, and Spain, where restrictions for individuals under 16 or similar measures are already in place.

He also noted that Mongolia plans to involve parents, educators, platform representatives, and child rights experts in the joint development of a practical law.
