Trump noted: "Iran has already created missiles that can threaten both Europe and our bases abroad. They are currently working on developing missiles capable of reaching the territory of the United States... They are once again pursuing their dangerous goals."
The U.S. President added that his administration would continue dialogue with Iran to prevent the development of nuclear weapons, but did not rule out the possibility of more decisive actions if necessary. "I prefer to resolve this issue diplomatically, but I will not allow the world's leading sponsor of terrorism, which is Iran, to possess nuclear weapons," he emphasized.
This week, the next round of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran on the nuclear deal is scheduled to take place in Geneva. Yesterday, Iranian officials announced their readiness to sign an agreement with Washington.
