To address the consequences of the bad weather, 75 teams are working, consisting of 2,710 road workers and 1,225 units of equipment. Since 1:00 AM, 26 columns, accompanied by patrol crews, have been clearing snow, and starting at 2:00 AM, small machinery has been deployed to clear sidewalks and public spaces. Workers are engaged in snow removal from bus stops, overpasses, stairs, and ramps.
“Round-the-clock duty has been organized to monitor the situation. Work continues without interruption until the snowfall ends and weather conditions stabilize,” the akimat reported.
Information on the number of traffic accidents caused by the snowfall is currently unavailable. In the morning of February 25, an Informburo correspondent witnessed an incident: a car moving along Al-Farabi Avenue near Esentai Mall ended up in a ditch. Fortunately, no one was injured.
According to the meteorologists' forecast, precipitation will continue throughout the day. On the afternoon of February 25, the air temperature is expected to be between 0...+2 degrees, and at night it will drop to -4...-6 degrees.
