The crash occurred at approximately 00:56 local time when the aircraft disappeared from radar. The incident took place on the Izmir-Istanbul highway, and after the crash, a massive fire broke out at the scene, with debris scattered over a significant distance.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed that communication with the pilot was also lost at the time of the crash. During the search operations, parts of the aircraft were found; however, the pilot did not survive.
The agency announced the establishment of a commission to investigate the causes of the incident.
