Kazakhstan schoolchildren will get 11 days off
The last school day before the holidays is scheduled for March 18, and students will return to classes on March 30, starting the fourth quarter. This extended break will allow children to recharge before the final stage of the academic year.

This means that after the longest and most challenging third quarter, children will have just three days off, including Saturday and Sunday.
The Ministry of Education also reported that as of January 1, 2026, a new Labor Code came into effect, which introduces two long non-working holiday periods — in January (from January 1 to January 6) and in May (from May 1 to May 8). Additionally, January 7, May 5, and May 9 are declared official holidays. If January 10 and 11 or May 10 and 11 coincide with weekends, the winter and May holidays may extend up to 12 calendar days.
