According to local residents, several explosions were heard before the fire broke out, after which the blaze began at the site.
The "Kaleikino" oil pumping station is a key hub for JSC "Transneft — Prikamye" in the Almetyevsk region. This facility receives and mixes oil of various qualities coming from Western Siberia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, and Bashkortostan, as well as storing it in tanks and pumping it through main pipelines, including routes to the Nizhnekamsk oil refinery and export routes.
At the time of publication, there were no official comments from Russian authorities or media. Information about possible casualties has also not been clarified.
