The volume of mineral extraction and quarrying in January amounted to ₮4.4 trillion, largely due to a 2.2-fold increase in the extraction of metallic ores (₮1.4 trillion) and a 29.9% increase (₮396.4 billion) in coal extraction.
The production of iron ore and copper concentrate, as well as the volumes of coal extraction, increased by 3.5 to 2.3 times compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the production of unrefined gold, crude oil, fluorite, lignite, silver, and zinc concentrate showed a decrease of 2.5%, totaling 89.1%.
