In Russia, lawmakers proposed to deport children of foreign workers who have reached 18 years of age.
In particular, foreigners may lose their patent if their income falls below the subsistence minimum, taking dependents into account. For this purpose, tax authorities will transmit information about migrants' income to the Ministry of Internal Affairs over various time periods: three, six, nine, and twelve months.
The patent may also be annulled if its holder has worked for less than ten months in a year and their income is below the established minimum level.
Special attention in the bill is given to the children of migrants. It proposes that adult children of foreign citizens must leave Russia within 30 days after turning 18 if they do not have legal grounds to continue their stay in the country, such as a work permit.
Currently, a labor patent is mandatory for citizens of countries with which Russia does not have a visa regime, except for Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
