The U.S. Imposed Sanctions on Uzbek Companies Assisting Illegal Immigrants
The U.S. Department of State has announced the introduction of visa restrictions for citizens of Uzbekistan who have been found to assist illegal immigration, according to information from RIA Novosti.
During the investigation, it was established that these individuals coordinated the transportation of foreign nationals, including children, who sought to illegally enter the U.S. through Central American airports and transit points.
As stated in the communiqué, the sanctions target the leaders and employees of two Uzbek visa companies that deliberately provided tourist services to foreigners seeking illegal immigration to the U.S.
The statement also emphasizes that the U.S. values the cooperation of the government of Uzbekistan in combating criminal groups involved in illegal immigration.
