At the meeting on February 16, the victims' lawyer Lyudmila Aivar will raise the issue of the necessity of fair and strict punishment for all those involved in the terrorist attack, including the perpetrators. "We will insist on the application of criminal sanctions, up to life imprisonment," she stated in an interview with TASS.
Among the accused are four main perpetrators of the attack, who fully admitted their guilt. The other defendants are charged with terrorism or aiding terrorist activities. The prosecution also plans to request punishment at the hearing on February 16.
The horrific terrorist attack occurred on March 22, 2024, at the "Krokus City Hall" concert hall located in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region. Four men opened fire on the crowd and then set the building on fire. As a result, 149 people died, three went missing, and 609 were injured.
