Reza Pahlavi believes that the goal should be the swift overthrow of the current regime, which he thinks is using diplomatic negotiations as a means to buy time.
Addressing Trump, he noted that the protesters in Iran "have heard him and believe in him." He also added that the U.S. president could take a place in history as one of the "greatest heroes of the world" if he takes decisive action.
"It is time to put an end to the Islamic Republic. This demand comes from my compatriots," he stated.
At the same time, he emphasized that the protesters need support from abroad to continue their struggle.
The 62nd Munich Security Conference is taking place from February 13 to 15 in Germany, gathering more than 60 heads of state and government, as well as defense ministers from about 100 countries.
Meanwhile, according to two representatives of the U.S. administration, American military forces are preparing for a possible operation against Iran, which could take several weeks. This preparation has intensified following Trump's statements about the need for a change of power in the country.
Additionally, the White House announced the deployment of a second aircraft carrier in the Middle East region, as well as the sending of fighter jets, destroyers, and thousands of military personnel. Trump warned that if negotiations on the nuclear deal fail, Iran will face a "bad day."
