During an interview with Politico journalists at the Munich Security Conference on February 13, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that support from the United States is needed for a swift end to the war with Russia.

Zelensky urged Donald Trump to put pressure on Vladimir Putin and to provide Ukraine with reliable security guarantees and assistance in post-conflict recovery.

He stated: "Call Putin and say, 'You need to stop where you are.' We need to freeze the conflict now and then hold a trilateral meeting for a peaceful resolution of the war."

The Ukrainian leader added that the country has already made certain compromises, and the lack of punishment for the Russian leadership is one of them.

Additionally, Zelensky pointed out the age difference between himself and Putin, noting that he is 48 years old, while the Russian president is 73, and the latter has "not much time left."
