President Trump noted that there have been no significant changes in Iran over the past decades.

He stated, "47 years have passed with only talks. We have lost many lives," but did not specify who might take the position of the new leader, adding only that "such people exist."

The situation is escalating, and the U.S. is increasing its military presence in the region. According to Trump, the new aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford will be moved from the Caribbean Sea to the Middle East. The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is already there.

The Pentagon previously reported that the buildup of military forces is related to pressure on Iran to achieve a new nuclear deal. In January, the option of military strikes against Iran was also considered in light of the brutal suppression of protests in the country.

Despite the harsh statements, Trump emphasized after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that it is necessary to continue dialogue with Tehran. "I insisted on negotiating and finding out if a deal is possible," he noted in his post on Truth Social.

Washington demands that Iran cease uranium enrichment, while Israel insists on restrictions for the missile program and support for armed groups. Tehran, for its part, has stated its readiness to discuss the nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of sanctions but warned that it would not agree to "excessive demands."

Recall that during his first presidential term, Trump withdrew the U.S. from the nuclear agreement with Iran, signed during Barack Obama's administration, and reinstated sanctions against Tehran. After that, Washington attempted to resume negotiations for a new agreement.
