Macron noted that the end of military actions will not change Moscow's strategy. He emphasized the importance of developing coexistence rules that would minimize the risk of further escalation of the conflict, adding: "Our geography will not change."

According to the French president, the current conflict in Ukraine represents a "major challenge" for Europe and, in his opinion, has become a "military failure" for Russia. He also expressed the view that the decision to end the conflict should be based not on concessions but on increasing pressure on Moscow.

Macron also mentioned Vladimir Putin's speech at the Munich Conference in 2007, noting that Europe rejected the proposed ideas at that time, which is similar to the reaction to the recent invasion of Ukraine.

The French president believes that as a result of the conflict, Russia has become economically isolated, dependent on China, and is facing demographic difficulties.

Earlier, Macron expressed the opinion that it is necessary to prepare for a possible resumption of dialogue with Putin, while noting that this process is being carried out in close cooperation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, although specific timelines have not yet been established.
