In an interview with The Atlantic, Zelensky confirmed that he is not ready to make compromises that would be perceived as unacceptable for Ukraine. He noted that "Ukraine is not losing," commenting on the current situation at the front and emphasizing the readiness to continue the fight even after many years of conflict.

According to media reports, some members of his team express concerns that the chance for a peaceful settlement may be missed, and the war could drag on for a long time if agreements are not reached in the coming months.

As The Atlantic emphasizes, Zelensky is not going to agree to "humiliating terms," despite his desire to end the conflict as soon as possible. One of his advisors noted that the president may ignore external pressure and act against common expectations.

Zelensky also pointed out that U.S. President Donald Trump, if he truly wants to establish himself as a peacemaker, should use the current situation to help end the war.

Earlier, in an interview with Bloomberg, Zelensky mentioned his willingness to engage in new negotiations with Russia, which could take place on February 17 or 18, where the main topic will be the discussion of territorial issues.
