According to the information from the National Statistical Office (NSO), published on Tuesday, the volume of Mongolia's foreign trade in January 2026 reached $2.54 billion, which is 30.7% higher than the figures for the same period last year.
Exports in this month increased by 71.6%, amounting to $1.7 billion, while imports, on the contrary, decreased by 12.6% to $843 million.
The main reason for the increase in exports was the rise in shipments of copper, coal, unprocessed and partially processed gold, as well as canned meat products from Mongolia to other countries.
According to the NSO, in January, the landlocked country conducted trade with 105 nations around the world.
