Kazakhstan won gold and silver at the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026

On February 12, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, congratulated the country's special forces units on their performance at the international competition UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 in Dubai, where the Kazakh teams took first and second places overall, reports The Astana Times.

At this prestigious tournament, Team Kazakhstan C was recognized as the absolute winner, while Kazakhstan A took second place. This success was achieved among 109 teams from 48 countries, highlighting Kazakhstan's growing reputation in tactical training and international special operations competitions, according to a press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The press secretary of the President of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, noted that Tokayev highly appreciated the results achieved by the fighters.

“The President noted the excellent professional, physical, and combat skills of the Kazakh fighters representing various state services, including the State Border Service and the National Security Committee, as well as their determination to win and patriotism,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In addition to the medals won, other Kazakh teams also demonstrated commendable results. Kazakhstan B took eighth place, while Kazakhstan D placed twentieth. The women's team "Tomiris" performed at a high level, securing the eighteenth position and becoming the best among women's teams, surpassing many men's teams from other countries.

According to Smadiyarov, Tokayev emphasized that the state would ensure official recognition of the military personnel's achievements, calling their performance a source of national pride and a vivid testament to the high level of training of the Kazakh special forces on the international stage.
