The German-British startup in aerospace technology, Hypersonica, announced the successful testing of its first prototype hypersonic missile called HS1. The missile was launched on February 3 at the Annoy spaceport located in northern Norway.
According to information provided by TASS, the missile reached a speed of 6 Mach, which is equivalent to over 7400 km/h, and flew a distance of about 300 kilometers. The company plans to start serial production of HS1 by 2029. The dimensions of the missile are several meters in length, and its weight exceeds one ton. However, the technical specifications have not yet been disclosed.
Hypersonica was founded in 2023 and is based in Munich, with the office of its subsidiary located in London.
