The Ministry of Health noted that the educational process in educational institutions is proceeding without disruptions: the level of illness among students does not exceed 20% in classes.

However, there is an increase in cases of measles in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, measles cases have been recorded in 19 regions, excluding Shymkent. Moreover, the majority of those infected (80% of cases) are unvaccinated citizens, and 58% of them are children who were not vaccinated due to parental refusal. New statistics on morbidity have not been provided.

On February 5 of this year, it was reported that in Kazakhstan, 1,951 cases of measles were registered in the first month of 2026, with the highest number of cases in Astana, Almaty, and the Zhambyl and Almaty regions.
