Fines for safety violations in the metro and trains have been introduced in Uzbekistan

The introduced measures concern not only railways and the metro but also road transport. In case of violations of traffic safety rules and transportation regulations, employees can be fined 10 BRV, which is equivalent to 4.2 million sums. A similar penalty is provided for concealing incidents on railway tracks and in the metro. As for road transport, a fine of 3 BRV (1.2 million sums) is imposed for failing to adhere to schedules, changing routes without justification, or unjustified fare increases.

These innovations aim to enhance the level of discipline in the transport sector and strengthen control over passenger transportation safety.
