Russia has confirmed that a criminal case has been opened in connection with the murder of Kobiljon Aliyev, who was killed on December 16, 2025, at a school in the Moscow region. As noted by Muhriddin, the perpetrator has been detained and charged with murder and attempted murder with aggravating circumstances. The court has ordered pre-trial detention.

The minister also added that the Russian side promised to keep informed about the further results of the investigation.

Sirajiddin Muhriddin characterized the tragedy that befell Kobiljon as "the pain of the entire nation" and noted that from the very beginning, this issue has been under the control of the President of Tajikistan, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively monitoring the situation.

At the same time, he did not specify whether Kobiljon's parents have a lawyer, and it remains unclear when the court proceedings will begin.

Speaking about the protection of the rights of migrant children and Tajik citizens in Russia, the minister emphasized that their department maintains constant communication with Russian authorities, and significant work is being done between the countries. Every incident involving Tajik citizens is taken under control, and all diplomatic representatives take necessary measures to protect the rights of their compatriots.

"However, given the scale of Russia, it can be challenging to assist all citizens at any moment. Nevertheless, we maintain mutual understanding with the Russian side," he added.

Despite the occasional unpleasant situations, according to Muhriddin, there is mutual understanding at the government level, and cooperation will continue.

The body of Kobiljon Aliyev was returned to Tajikistan on December 18, 2025, and buried in his native district of ShahriNav.
