China plans to produce up to 1 million humanoid robots per year by 2027

Chinese humanoid robots are beginning to carve out their niche on the international stage, as reported by the Kazinform agency, citing Xinhua.
The Chinese company Unitree Robotics has reported a sharp increase in sales of humanoid robots in 2025. The company noted that this refers to devices that have actually been delivered to clients, indicating a high interest in this product.

According to expert estimates, the market for humanoid robots in China is showing impressive growth, more than doubling compared to the previous year. Experts emphasize that robot demonstrations are no longer limited to exhibition formats and are beginning to represent real commercial value.

The founder of Unitree Robotics, Wang Xinxin, noted: “Demonstrations showcase real achievements in robotics and can create significant commercial value.”

In 2025, the industry is expected to transition to mass production of humanoid robots. According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, hundreds of different models of such devices are already in operation in the country, and robots are gradually starting to perform tasks in production rather than just being demonstrated.

Zhang Yunmin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, emphasized that the development of this industry is accelerating due to the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, and the government plans to expand the use of humanoid robots in the manufacturing sector and services.

Among China's long-term goals is achieving mass production of humanoid robots by 2027, with forecasts that by 2035 the volume of this industry will exceed 1 trillion yuan, according to expert estimates.
