During the incident, the teenager fired several shots with plastic bullets aimed at a teacher and three of his classmates, and also detonated a firecracker, as clarified by the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to classmates and neighbors of the shooter, he had a hostile relationship with the teacher, which he also mentioned in his Telegram channel. The boy's father stated that his son complained about conflicts at school and claimed that he was being laughed at.
According to REN TV, the student recorded conversations with classmates and teachers on a dictaphone and posted them on social media. In one of his posts, he expressed thoughts about how he "deals with everyone."
There are two security guards at the school — an elderly woman and a man. However, parents have repeatedly complained about the latter, claiming that he often sleeps on the job.
