It has been reported that the sentence was handed down in November 2025 in connection with various crimes, including intentional murder, telecommunications fraud, and illegal drug trafficking.
The court of the city of Shenzhen (Guangdong province, South China) carried out the execution with the sanction of the Supreme People's Court of China, as stated in a press release.
It is worth noting that on January 29 of this year, 11 representatives of another mafia family, the Min family, which was also involved in fraudulent schemes in Myanmar, were executed in China.
For a long time, the Bai, Min families, and other clans controlled the border town of Laukkai in Myanmar, organizing casinos, the sex industry, and cyber fraud centers, as reported by the BBC. The Bai family, even possessing its own paramilitary unit, opened 41 closed complexes that housed fraudulent call centers and casinos. The investigation also established that family members produced and dumped about 11 tons of methamphetamine onto the market.
The criminal activities of the Bai family led to the deaths of six Chinese citizens, and several others were injured.
Among those executed was Bai Incan, whom Xinhua describes as the gang leader. At the same time, the BBC points out that the real leader of the family was Bai Suocheng, who unfortunately did not live to see the execution and died of illness.
Since the early 2000s, criminal clans have controlled Laukkai; however, in 2023, the Chinese authorities expressed dissatisfaction with the inaction of the Myanmar military in combating fraudulent syndicates and began to support the actions of ethnic rebels in the region, according to the BBC. As a result, the syndicates were defeated, and their members were arrested and brought to trial in China, with Chinese citizens being the primary victims of these crimes.
